Rolling stock yard is a news landmark development offering 57,500 sq ft of contemporary office space designed by world-renowned architects square & partners.

Colorminium appointed Volka Fitzpatrick as the main contractor.  Aztec Screeding Ltd based in Gerrards Cross where awarded the screeding and resin package for the project.

Aztec Screeding approached Longfloor liquid cement screed and their distributor to discuss the requirements for the ground floor reception area, which required a robust early drying liquid screed to be installed over water-fed underfloor heating system at an average depth of 50mm.

The final finish to be installed on the floor was a resin that would have specially designed tracks embedded in the resin to resemble train tracks to mark the heritage of the location.

The client used a cement based liquid screed due to its fast-drying time and the fact it doesn’t require sanding when dry which would have caused scheduling problems.

35m3 of Longfloor was delivered to the site on two separate days over 2 weekends.  Longfloor can be foot trafficked within 24 -48hr which allowed no down time in the schedule.

Managing Director of Aztec Screeding, Ian Goom was more than happy with the service he received and how the product performed.
